These Parents Weren’t Excited To Receive A Note Home From The Teacher
No matter how well-behaved your child is or how much they like school, there's probably going to be at least one moment in their educational career where you get the dreaded note home from the teacher about something that happened.
If you're lucky, the note is about something funny that your child did. If you're not so lucky, the note home is to inform you that your child threatened to pee on another classmate or wrote a poem full of inappropriate words.
Time To Check Those Parental Controls
We're not sure how old Violet is, but based on her art skills, we're going to guess that she's probably too young to be watching Futurama.
Or Violet is a highschool-aged girl who is particularly bad at art.
A Confident King
Little kids are chock full of confidence, and no teacher ever wants to diminish that.
But it couldn't hurt for Max to learn that just because he's adorable does not mean he can skip out on his math homework.
The Biggest Booger Ball
Someday in the future, this teacher is going to look back and reminisce on the days where her biggest concerns were that her students were creating giant booger balls under the desks in class.
Ah, the memories.
Your Mama So Fat...
Not exactly the perfect time for a "your mama" joke, but then again, is there ever a good time for that?
Clearly, his understanding of the English language is solid, though.
She's Looking For Her Mrs. Degree
Clearly, Madison has figured out how the world works and she's ready to use that to her advantage.
The problem is that you still have to graduate from high school, or at least elementary school, before you can start playing that card.
All's Well That Ends Well
This teacher really had us on the edge of our seats at the beginning of the note, but it ended on a high point.
Brian probably isn't going to be a mathematician, but at least you don't have to shave his head.
Josiah Has A Good Point
It's hard to argue with logic as sound as the facts that Josiah is spouting.
Working isn't fun, but he wasn't supposed to discover that for at least another decade or two.
Someone Has To Deal With This
She's going to be dealing with it as she needs to in the schoolyard.
But it couldn't hurt to have a conversation at home too, just to make sure we're all on the same page.
She's Not Looking To Be A Teacher's Pet
Juliana is apparently just as tired of her classmates yelling in the classroom as her teacher is, but she's keeping her expectations realistic.
Juliana knows they're going to go back to shouting in approximately 2.6 seconds.
Just An FYI
Just in case Amara tries to bring that worm into the house and turn her room into some sort of worm sanctuary—if she hasn't already.
You might want to check the pockets of the rest of her clothing while you're at it.
But Is He Wrong?
Okay, so it's not the compound word that you might have wanted him to use as an example, but technically it's correct.
He's grasped the point of the lesson, now he needs to make it more school-friendly.
Don't Check The Backpack
If I got a note home from my kid's teacher telling me to check their backpack because they had an accident at school, that backpack would be going right in the garbage along with anything else that may be inside of it.
It's done.
What About The Polar Bear Getting Punched?
Maybe the reason that Dale thinks this is appropriate is that he goes to a school where they talk about polar bears getting punched on their homework assignments.
What kind of lessons are we teaching here?
Making Math More Interesting
This seems like he was way off from a drawing of the Green Lantern, but if that's his story...
Hone in on that creativity and it could lead to something better, during an appropriate time, of course—not during math class.
Thanks For The Laugh
Oh, to be young and uninhibited!
Little kids have a tendency to take their clothes off without any thought as to who's around them or if it's the right time to be doing that, and there's nothing you can really do about it but laugh.
Lillian Was Standing Up For Herself
What did the little boy have to say for himself, though? Perhaps she was driven to that threat and was simply standing up for herself.
She didn't even act on the threat!
Pocket Full Of Problems
"Will you inquire?"
In other words, this teacher is absolutely not prepared to deal with the consequences of one of their students bringing a pocket knife to school, and we don't blame them.
Welcome To The Jungle
We're going to take a wild guess and say that someone recently watched some sort of nature movie either in class or at home.
Which was the inspiration for this move.
Why Even Send The Hair Home?
What purpose does sending the hair home serve? It's not like the parents are going to be able to sew it back onto the rest of the hair or superglue it to the scalp.
That piece is lost forever.
He Likes Butts And He Can't Lie
He went to all that trouble to create his masterpiece, so he needs people to know about it.
The teacher didn't appreciate it as he'd hoped, but he knew his classmates would.
"Accidentally"
Danica got a casual note home after her friend "accidentally" took a bite of her chapstick (through no fault of Danica's).
But that friend probably got sent home with a less friendly note for her parents.
There Are Better Days Ahead
Charlotte had herself a bad day, which everyone is entitled to.
However, Charlotte is going to have to learn that you're not allowed to throw dirt every time you're in a bad mood.
The Student Becomes The Teacher
Every parent who reaches into their child's backpack at the end of the day to find a note from the teacher is always hit with a little wave of panic.
This note, though, is nothing to panic about.
Looking For A Change
Clearly, there is a pattern of little girls cutting their hair when they're not supposed to.
But we still don't understand the pattern of sending the locks of hair home.
A Lesson In Consent
It's never too early to start teaching your kids about the importance of consent!
Just because you want to kiss someone in the cafeteria at lunchtime does not mean that they want that.
Seems Legit
It seems like Mr. and Mrs. Walker have one little troublemaker on their hands.
And maybe Mrs. Teague would appreciate a week without Collin stirring the pot in the classroom...
You Just Don't Understand Poetry
Art is subjective, so if Kimmy's teacher can't appreciate the incredible poetry that she's written, maybe it's time for Kimmy to find herself a new literature teacher or a program where she's valued.
They didn't treat her like this in the second grade.
The Threat Is Worse Than The Act
Actually, scratch that. Threatening to pee on one of his classmates is pretty bad, but following through on that threat definitely would've been worse than the threat.
The bite would have been worse than the bark.
Your Teacher Is A Narc
This teacher has just proved to Xavier that she can't be trusted. He was testing her, and she failed.
Next time you see something you're not supposed to, don't say something; keep it to yourself.
She Doesn't Know How Good She's Got It
I wish we could return to the days where our biggest upset of the day was not being happy with the lunch that someone else prepared for us.
Also, who is giving their child brie cheese for a school lunch?
A Subtle Flex
As a teacher, you might be above bribery, but that doesn't mean that your students are above attempting to bribe you.
He used his hard-earned lunch money for that bribe, and it's pizza day in the cafeteria. You should feel honored.
Hard To Argue With That
This is certainly a creative way to convince the teacher to give you the grade you want. Plus, she traced the answer in pen, which means she can't take it back.
It's permanently written in red.
When The Student Becomes The Teacher
This might have been written in science class, but that doesn't mean the teacher was looking for a lesson on the birds and the bees of the science world.
This is chemistry class—you can save that lesson for your biology teacher.
The Ninja Has Spoken
With intimidation tactics like this one, this student is sure to be passing every one of his classes with flying colors.
No teacher is going to disrespect such a masterpiece.
Jesus Is Always The Answer
Any person who went to a Catholic school while growing up had at least one teacher where, no matter the subject, no matter the question, "Jesus" was an acceptable answer.
Sadly, this was not that teacher.
You Could Be Less Honest
You want to teach your students that honesty is the best policy...
But then they go and say things like this, making you wish you'd taught them that maybe it's okay to lie some of the time.
He Looks Like A Dave
Any time a question is phrased as "name this ___" teachers are setting themselves up to get answers like this one from the students who didn't study that part of the textbook.
At least it makes the day interesting.
Fight Club And Thermodynamics Are Off Limits
As long as your teacher is a Brad Pitt fan, you might be able to get away with this kind of answer.
Though you're probably still going to stay after class to learn about the laws of thermodynamics on your lunch break.
How Would You Like To Respond?
We'd like to make the argument that in the time it took them to draw this, they probably could have come up with some sort of better answer or asked for help.
But it seems like a lost cause.
In Conclusion, Liam Isn't Sorry
You might be forcing him to write the apology note to Brody, but he's still going to do it his way.
Brody needs to know that Liam isn't actually sorry.
