These People Are Embracing Their Unique Physical Traits
The great thing about human beings is that no two of us are the same. Everyone is unique in their own way, but some people wear their eccentricities more visibly than others. The people on this list all have some kind of physical trait that most other humans don't. They could be self-conscious about those differences, but why sulk when you can celebrate?
They took to the internet to share their bodies with the world.
From The Root
This person has light brown blondish hair all over her head, except for one patch of hair that grows in completely black.
This trait is called focal scalp hair heterochromia.
Swirled Hair
The hair on this person's head grows in a spiral pattern. Hair whorls don't usually occur this close to a person's forehead.
Usually, they sit in the middle of your head.
No Prune For You
This person has some nerve damage in his finger, which causes exactly half of it not to prune when exposed to water for long periods of time.
All of his other fingers are fine.
Extra Toes
This person has an extra little toe in the middle of both of her feet.
This condition is called polydactyly and is quite common in cats. Maybe she's part cat?
A Patch Of Blue
This person has hazel eyes, but a quarter of her left eye is totally blue.
This is due to a condition called heterochromia iridum, or heterochromia iridis, or sectoral heterochromatin.
An Extra Knee
Reddit user and weird knee owner NIIK06 posted this photo online with the caption:
"I have an extra bone growth next to my knee that I like to call my extra knee cap."
Eye Stitches
This person had a cornea transplant, and in this photo, you can see the stitches in his eye.
A corneal transplant is a surgical procedure where a damaged or diseased cornea is replaced with one from a donor.
More Heterochromia
This mother and daughter pair both have heterochromia.
The mother (top) has eyes that are two different colors and her daughter has a blue patch in her left green eye.
Always Down To Rock And Roll
This person was born with a hand deformity. Now it kind of looks like she's always doing the rock and roll sign.
Hands are pretty weird if you stop and think about them...
Se7en
This person has seven freckles on the side of this face that come together to make the number seven.
You kind of have to be looking at it in a mirror to see it the right way.
Magnifying Eyes
Reddit user milenus posted this photo online with the caption, "I have a defect called 'mega cornea’ which makes my eyes look bigger, like a magnifying glass."
She looks like an adorable cartoon character.
That Looks Painful
The person who posted this picture insists that he has never broken a bone and that this doesn't hurt at all.
But we still think it looks kind of painful.
Curly Vs. Straight
This person was born with two different hair textures.
The hair on the top of her head is straight, but underneath and behind her ears, she has adorable curly ringlets.
Not Born This Way
It looks like this person has heterochromia, but it was actually an eye injury that caused his right eye to be lighter than his left.
He wasn't born this way, but he's still rocking the look.
A Neat Party Trick
This person has dermatographia, a condition that causes the skin to swell whenever it's lightly scratched. That means that he can write on his own skin.
The swelling will go away in a few minutes.
E.T. Phone Home
This person's right pinky has an extra "square" in it, which might mean that it has an extra joint. It's the same length as his other pinky, though.
It kind of looks like E.T.'s finger.
Not A Piercing
This person has never had her ears pierced, but she does have two freckles, one on each of her earlobes.
It's like she was born with beautiful built-in ear jewelry.
Just One Stripe
This girl has blue eyes, but she has a stripe of brown pigment in her left eye.
It kind of makes her eye look like a sundial. We think it's pretty cool.
Swirly Leg Hair
This person didn't gel or twirl his leg hair. It genuinely grows in a spiral.
It has been growing like that ever since he was old enough to have leg hair.
This Contortionist
This is Zlata and she is a contortionist from Kazakhstan!
Her amazing skills have wowed many audiences and she's even been in a couple motion pictures. Anyone else suddenly feel like eating a pretzel?
Do Your Pupils Hang Low?
Reddit user gemston986 posted this photo of himself online with the caption, "My iris has a defect where the pupil looks as if it hangs down."
If you zoom in, you can see it really well.
A Two-Toned Beard
This guy has never dyed his beard. That lighter orange patch in it is totally natural. A quarter of his beard is totally orange.
If he shaved his face, nobody would even know that he's kind of magical.
It Runs In The Family
Reddit user creamalamode posted this photo online with the caption, "The phalanges on both little fingers are deformed, like my grandpa and dad. It's called clinodactyly."
His little fingers have a little bit of character.
Twin Toes
This person's foot is a little bit strange.
The second and third toes seem to be halfway fused. This person can still walk totally normally. He just has unique feet.
Half And Half
This girl's eyelashes are naturally blonde on one eye and brunette on the other.
When she wears mascara, you can't tell, but we think she should skip the mascara so she can flaunt this unique trait.
Ghost Fingers
Reddit user _lckplant posted this photo online with the caption, "Loss of blood flow to my fingers due to Raynaud's disease."
She has a disorder that makes it harder for her blood to reach her extremities.
Webbed Toes
This person has webbed feet! Well, partially. Now we're wondering if they're any better at swimming because of this special feature.
Who needs flippers when you have toes like these?
Split Down The Middle
This person has heterochromia so that exactly half of his iris is blue and half is brown. It's totally split down the middle.
Admit it, you wish your eyes were this cool.
Some Extra Fingers
This little baby girl was born with six fingers on each hand.
People often comment on babies being born with 10 fingers and 10 toes, but this little girl has 12 fingers.
One Eye Only
We saw a girl with blonde and brown eyelashes, but this guy has eyelashes on one eye and no eyelashes on the other.
He couldn't cover this up with mascara even if he wanted to.
Fraternal Thumbs
Reddit user cholnic posted this picture of his thumbs online with the caption:
"I have fraternal thumbs, one from each parent due to a genetic mutation on my dad's side."

This woman has a condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
It causes the collagen in her body to be too stretchy, allowing her joints to bend further than those of the average human being.
...Blackjack?
While this person has no medical anomalies to her eye, she noticed that the number 21 is clearly visible in the lower right side of her iris in this photo.
I want to know what robot species manufactured her.
Genetics Are Crazy
It's really interesting to see which traits are passed on to offspring by their parents.
While you expect things like hair color and eye color to be the same, little things like freckle location being passed down seems bizarre.
Who Needs A Regular Thumb Anyway
This person was born with only four fingers on their left hand.
Their index finger grew in a lower position to make up for the fact that they didn't have a thumb.
The Difference In Wear Is Remarkable
This guy posted a comparison photo of how much more intensely his regular foot wears down shoes than his prosthetic one.
From this, it seems that the wear on our shoes is caused less by the environment and more by our own feet.
Catch A Slice Of This!
This woman has had a malformed iris her whole life, making it bleed over into the pupil portion of her eye.
Fortunately, the physical abnormality has never had a negative impact on her vision.
This Would Be Such An Advantage In A Fist Fight
This person explained that the bone leading up to their ring finger is abnormally short, causing the knuckle to sit much lower than the others.
Anyone who knows about throwing a good punch, however, would say the natural focus on the first two knuckles is actually an advantage.
Double Cheeked Up On A Thursday Afternoon
This guy was surprisingly pleased when he noticed that the stump on his leg left after his amputation looks strikingly similar to a pair of butt cheeks.
Honestly, I would be too.
One Red Eye, One Normal
This person explained that they are blind in one eye.
Interestingly, that their left eye never experiences the red-eye effect in photographs, while the right one still is susceptible to it.
Two Nails For The Price Of One!
Ever since they had their finger crushed in a car door at age 8, this person has had a unique trait.
Their finger grows an extra little nail on top of the normal one.
